It may have disappeared by the time you reach the end of this post, but the good weather has put a spring in our step and our thoughts have turned to a fresh start.
After a winter of short days and soft lighting we can finally throw open the curtains and come out of hibernation. If a spring clean is on your to-do list, it may be time to take a look at your tired and trusted chairs and sofas. They have probably been “base camp” for the past few months and have lost some of their bounce.
If your sofa is in need of a makeover, start from the inside and work your way out. Often recovering is all it takes but if the springs are sagging then we can restore their bounce and deliver your chair or sofa back to you as good as new.
When deciding whether to recovery or replace, the key is to remember that quality furniture will last for lifetimes and simply reupholstering a piece of furniture can update it, giving it a new lease of life.
What you probably didn’t know is that we can transform a great deal more than the springs and fabric of your chair or sofa.
Furniture handed down through generations can mean that as well as dated fabric and sunken filling, the size and shape of your chair or sofa may not be at all suitable for your home. We can change the shape of the piece of furniture so that it sits neatly into the space. Whether reducing the overall size of the chair or lowering the back, shortening the seat or modifying the arms, your three seater sofa can become a neat two-seater and your armchair can lose the elaborate arms and become much more contemporary to suit today’s style.
